REVIEW: LUSH Ocean Salt

Hey guys! Here’s a review on another Lush product! This time I’m reviewing the LUSH Ocean Salt. There are four different versions of this product: original, alcohol free, self-preserving and self-preserving & alcohol free. I purchased the Ocean Salt Self-Preserving! Unfortunately, I haven’t tried any of the other versions of this product (when I bought it I had no idea there were several versions available) so I can’t really compare them.

What is it?

“Limes steeped in vodka, grapefruit and lashings of salt go into this invigorating face and body scrub – now in a self-preserving formula.” – Lush

What it does according to Lush

“The salty, citrus fragrance is refreshing on the skin and mind, like diving into the cool blue ocean. Sea salt is rich in minerals and excellent for scrubbing away any dead skin. We also added rich, silky avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed absolute to keep your skin soft, smooth and conditioned.” – Lush

What it looks like

The product comes in a black pot made of recycled plastic. If you return 5 empty pots to the store, you receive a free face mask! The scrub itself looks amazing! It has a soft texture with fine sea salt. A little goes a long way. It has a strong and fresh citrusy scent. I love it!

Lush products only contain natural ingredients and safe synthetics! Not tested on animals and no animal-originated ingredients!

Performance

The Ocean Salt Self-Preserving is a great exfoliant and leaves my skin feeling extremely soft and smooth! It’s also hydrating, brightening and refreshing. Reduces acne and washes off easily. Be extra careful if you have sensitive skin, it may be too harsh or stingy.

How to use

Splash water on the skin and apply the scrub in an upward circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry. The Ocean salt can be used on both face and body! I recommend using it once or twice a week. Because of it’s strong uplifting lemon scent, I prefer using it in the morning.
